Il progetto di cooperazione europea Mauerspringer. Nuove forme di espressione artistica e di partecipazione nel teatro di strada è iniziato nel luglio 2018 e si è concluso alla fine di aprile 2020.

Mauerspringer significa saltatori di muri, come era chiamato chi scavalcava il muro di Berlino.

A partire da questo riferimento, il progetto ha proposto il teatro di strada come forma di incontro fra artisti e spettatori differenti per età, culture e paesi di provenienza, con l’obiettivo di superare i “muri” attraverso l’arte, sviluppare nuovi linguaggi teatrali e promuovere la partecipazione attiva del pubblico, coinvolgendo in particolare i soggetti più fragili, gli stranieri e i migranti.

Mauerspringer si è sviluppato attraverso una serie di attività che hanno coinvolto i sei partner europei (Teatro Due Mondi, Italia; Hortzmuga Teatroa, Spagna; Theaterlabor Bielefeld, Germania; Compagnie du Hasard, Francia; Théâtre de l’Unité, Francia; Dah Teatar, Serbia), con la creazione di spettacoli di strada, laboratori partecipati e festival.

La prima parte del volume raccoglie gli interventi dei registi in occasione dell’incontro internazionale Saltare muri, percorrere strade, avvenuto in diretta live streaming il 4 aprile 2020, a conclusione del progetto.

La seconda parte traccia una sorta di bilancio conclusivo del triennio, sia sul piano dei contenuti (attraverso le testimonianze dei partner coinvolti) sia sul piano delle risultanze statistiche (attraverso uno studio sugli spettatori e sui partecipanti ai laboratori).

Completano il volume un percorso fotografico e un film-documentario che attraversano sette spettacoli e altrettanti scenari urbani, fra Faenza e Bilbao, Bielefeld e Feings.

The European cooperation project Mauerspringer. New forms of artistic expression and participation in street theatre started in July 2018 and ended at the end of April 2020.
Mauerspringer means wall jumpers, as those who climbed over the Berlin Wall were called.
Starting from this reference, the project proposed street theatre as a form of encounter between artists and spectators of different ages, cultures and countries of origin, with the aim of overcoming “walls” through art, developing new theatrical languages and promoting the active participation of the public, involving in particular the most fragile subjects, foreigners and migrants.
Mauerspringer has developed through a series of activities involving the six European partners (Teatro Due Mondi, Italy; Hortzmuga Teatroa, Spain; Theaterlabor Bielefeld, Germany; Compagnie du Hasard, France; Théâtre de l’Unité, France; Dah Teatar, Serbia), with the creation of street performances, workshops and festivals.

The first part of the book collects the interventions of the directors on the occasion of the international meeting Jumping walls, travelling along streets, a live streaming which took place on April 4, 2020, at the end of the project.

The second part draws a sort of final balance sheet of the three-year period, both in terms of content (through the testimonies of the partners involved) and in terms of statistical results (through a study of the spectators and participants in the workshops).

The book is completed by a photographic path and a documentary film that crosses seven shows and seven urban scenarios, between Faenza and Bilbao, Bielefeld and Feings.
